Las Vegas Convention Center-South Hall Expansion

The Las Vegas Convention Center South Expansion is a 1.3 million sf addition to the existing exhibit hall on an approximate site acreage of 70 acres. This two-level structure is connected to the existing facility by a meeting room space over Desert Inn Road. The second level exhibit hall space is designed to a live load of 300 psf which allows semi-trucks to drive right into the building for loading and unloading.

Drilled caissons, pile caps and grade beams support a 17,000-ton steel frame structure. The exterior is composite metal panels, preformed metal siding, and CMU. Interior consists of exhibition spaces and meeting rooms, including meeting spaces on the bridge itself. Fit-out of the commercial kitchen space, restaurant and concession areas was added to the base contract scope of work.
