ConocoPhillips Refinery Operations Center

The Refinery Operations Center will serve as an efficient, twenty-four hour facility for ConocoPhillips' refinery operation in Ferndale, Washington.  The project will be a precast, tilt-up, concrete structural system, housing slightly less than 15,000 square feet of interior space.  The reinforced, concrete roof will be held up by a structural steel grid.  Due to the nature of the site and its surroundings, many surfaces will be blast resistant.  The large, central control room will feature a computer access floor while the remainder of the structure will house offices for both shifts and basic living amenities including a kitchen, lockers, and an exercise room.  Site work and landscaping will also be completed.  This project will be carried out quickly with groundbreaking in July and substantial completion in December.  A large lab area is also in planning for addition onto the east side of the building.
