Seattle Public Library Ballard Branch

The work in this project consists of the demolition of an existing bank and surface parking, excavation of approximately 9000 cubic yards of earth from the site, construction of 10,000 sq. ft. of underground parking, a new 15,000 sq. ft. library and 3,100 sq.ft. customer service office and associated utility, site and landscape work.  The library itself has an exposed timberformed ceiling, landscaping on the roof and its structure is primarily exposed steel and glue-lams with large expanses of floor to ceiling glazing.
