Set on a bluff above the Oregon Coast, the Chinook Winds Gaming and Convention Center offers something for everyone: full service gaming excitement and breathtaking views! The casino provides gaming areas for slot machines, blackjack and poker. A combination keno, off-track betting and bingo hall seats 1,200. Other highlights include buffet and fine dining restaurants, lounge complete with stage, and convention facility with space for 1,000 people. Accenting the entry atrium is a two-story waterfall constructed with natural rocks and plants. This environment was chosen to mirror the native fishing grounds of the Siletz Tribe. An arcade for teenagers and a childcare area is included. An effective cost-cutting measure incorporated the administrative office space into a mezzanine area. The cards were stacked against the construction crew! A tight construction schedule of eight months, inclement coastal weather with torrential rains, windspeeds clocked at over 110 mph, and a remote construction site were factors that proved challenging. Despite the odds, Chinook Winds Gaming and Convention Center was delivered on schedule and within budget!
