Project Description
The Home Depot Center, an official US Olympic training site on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills, is a 120-acre, multi-sport complex. It is the home of Major League Soccer's Galaxy, the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) national headquarters and training site and the San Diego Chargers summer training camp. It also includes an 8,000 seat tennis stadium, a tennis academy, and track & field, volleyball, softball, and baseball fields for the University's use. Each stadium has a full array of private suites, dining facilities, concessions, and rest rooms. The central support building provides a loading dock and storage facilities, locker and training rooms, coaches and operations offices, commissary/food prep/storage areas, ticketing, security, first aid, and other event support functions. Scope of work also included the build out of the team offices located at the front of the stadium, as well as extensive landscaping of the site.
