Project Description
Phase I of the Mystic Lake Hotel project was constructed by PCL with Little Six, Inc. in 1996-97. Phase II will consist of a second hotel tower, new swimming pool area, and conference/meeting rooms. The hotel tower will be a 10-story, post-tensioned concrete structure totaling 216 guestrooms. Level 1 will be a mechanical level housing new building equipment. Level 2 will consist of new office and storage space. Levels 3-8 will be the typical floors with 28 guestrooms per floor. Levels 9 and 10 will be the “suite” floors with various two-or three-bay units (bedroom and entertainment room).
The exterior facade will be constructed of an exterior insulated finish system (EIFS) unitized panels with strip windows. Two passenger and two service elevators will be installed in the existing elevator shaft constructed during Phase I. The new natatorium will include a pool, spas, sauna and health club, which will serve the hotel guests and will be the centerpiece attraction for the casino with large, open spaces for function and events. Six large meeting rooms will be added, plus a cold storage/kitchen prep area serviced by a new hydraulic elevator.
