The scope of the project includes all divisions of the county Sheriff's department county court facilities including eight courtrooms and associated judges' chambers and administrative offices district attorney's offices and support county coroner's offices and morgue Sheriff's and emergency 911 dispatch center county prison facilities including 192 jail cells for 284 prisoners open-air recreational areas kitchen laundry medical/dental facilities
Project Description
The 280,000 sf Douglas County Justice Center was designed to accommodate the present and future needs of Douglas County. The development of the 32 acres of land includes all underground utilities, complete landscaping and irrigation installations, and parking for 1,000 vehicles. The prison is composed primarily of reinforced masonry, brick, and precast floor planking. The court and administration areas are reinforced concrete, structural steel and metal deck, with an exterior skin of brick veneer, glazing and EIFS.
